West Orange, NJ – June 27, 2019 – RWJBarnabas Health has named Warren E. Moore, FACHE, Senior Vice President, Pediatric Services for RWJBarnabas Health, effective immediately. In his new role, Mr. Moore will focus on the overall pediatric service line and oversee the development and strategic implementation of business plans for pediatrics across the health system. Mr. Moore will align the leadership across the system’s three children’s hospitals, convening key clinical leaders, hospital administrative teams and Rutgers leadership to coordinate services, while enhancing the quality, accessibility and convenience of the care provided. Mr. Moore continues in his current role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital, a post he has held since 2017.
Mr. Moore will continue to report directly to Thomas Biga, President, Hospital Division of RWJBarnabas Health, while aligning closely with John Bonamo, M.D., MS, FACOG, FACPE, Executive Vice President, Chief Medical & Quality Officer, who oversees multiple service line endeavors across the system.

Mr. Moore has been with RWJBarnabas Health for the past 21 years and previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Children’s Specialized Hospital. Under his strategic leadership, the facility has expanded both the breadth and depth of services offered to encompass 13 sites and to serve more than 37,000 children in 2018. He also has spearheaded strategic partnerships beyond New Jersey, launching the Children’s Specialized Hospital Chronic Pain Management Program at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego this spring and collaborating with Olivia’s Place to bring pediatric rehabilitation to the children of China.
In addition, Mr. Moore also served as the Chief Administrative Officer of Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. During his tenure, Mr. Moore was integral in leading the hospital to regain its specialty national ranking with U.S. News & World Report and joined Solutions for Patient Safety, setting the stage for top performance in quality and safety.

Prior to joining the RWJBarnabas Health system, Moore held several leadership roles at HealthSouth, the nation’s largest inpatient rehabilitation provider and brings nearly three decades of experience to his work.
Mr. Moore earned his Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Maryland and his master’s degree in health and human service administration from Rider University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Health Research & Educational Trust of New Jersey and Ronald McDonald House of Central & Northern New Jersey. He also serves on the Children’s Hospital Association’s Quality and Safety Committee, the New Jersey Council of Children’s Hospitals Leadership Committee, the New Jersey Innovation Institute External Advisory Board and the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Finance Committee. He recently participated in the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute’s Medicaid 2.0 initiative. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
In 2016, Mr. Moore was recognized by the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey for his leadership contributions to Life Sciences in the area of Patient Advocacy. In addition, he was recently awarded with the Randy Siegel M.D. Pediatric Cancer Medical Humanitarian of the Year by the Hugs for Brady Foundation and the Harold L. Conover Leadership Award from his alma mater, Rider University. Mr. Moore and his family are residents of Princeton.
