February 02, 2016

Local restaurateur, and part owner of Patrizias of Red Bank, Lou Maschi will host the second annual fundraiser to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the New Jersey beneficiary, Children’s Specialized Hospital Monday, February 8, at 28 Broad Street “Patrizias of Red Bank” family style restaurant from 6 to 10 p.m.  Together with the fine staff and great food that everyone has come to know at Patrizias, the event will attract many supporters to help raise money to help the over 27,000 children treated each year affected by life changing illness or injury at the 13 different Children’s Specialized Hospital locations.

The evening will include passed appetizers, a full dinner and a venetian room full of deserts as well as silent and live auctions.  Tickets are $150 and can be purchased at www.patrizias.kintera.org.  Last year this event raised $50,000.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals throughout North America.  Together, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals creates one of the strongest international children’s causes in the world and provides state-of-the-art care to all children.  No other organization directly impacts as many kids through care, research, and outreach programs.  Locally, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals supports Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Children’s Specialized Hospital is the nation’s leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children from birth to 21 years of age facing special health challenges - from chronic illnesses and complex physical disabilities like brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues like autism and mental health.  The pediatric specialists partner with families to make many innovative therapies and medical treatments more personalized and effective…so children can achieve more of their goals.

“Lou and his team have taken his commitment to helping the children and families of the communities he serves to the next level” said Philip Salerno, president and chief development officer, Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation.  “We continue to be tremendously grateful for all of his efforts and success on National Pancake Day.  We share the same values of partnering with families and were thrilled to find out he extended his fundraising to include Patrizias of Red Bank.  Thank you Lou for all you have done to help all of our kids reach their fullest potential.”

Funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals ensure every child who needs services can be cared for, regardless of their ability to pay!

Lou and Toni Maschi are no strangers to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Children Specialized Hospital, as they began their crusade to raise as much money as possible ten years ago at their IHOP restaurant in Brick, NJ. Every year, IHOP restaurants throughout the country hold fundraising efforts on “National Pancake Day” whereby a free short stack of pancakes are given out to whomever enters the restaurants in exchange for a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  In the past five years, Lou and Toni’s IHOP ranked either first or second in the country in total funds raised!

The event organized and coordinated by the staff of Patrizias of Red Bank, together with the ongoing effort of the Brick Town, New Jersey IHOP restaurant, put together a packed night of fun, food, and gifts that culminated in a total of over $75,000 that was raised to help Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Thanks to the assistance from members of Children’s Specialized Hospital, many great gifts will be auctioned off that will help raise an incredible amount of money.
