Children’s Specialized Hospital Friends Host Casino Night April 12

Children’s Specialized Hospital Friends, formerly known as the Auxiliary, are hosting a “Night at the Casino” on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Plainfield Country Club in Edison. Come out and enjoy an entertaining night of cocktails, light fares and popular casino games while supporting the 22,000 children with special needs that are treated by Children’s Specialized Hospital. 
 
Tickets are $100. With a ticket the guest receives food, drinks.  Guests will also enjoy a tricky tray and a live auction. Some prizes that will be offered are an iPad mini; overnight stay at the Ritz Carleton in NYC; men’s sports watches; gift certificates for golf and lunch at the Plainfield Country Club; vintage citrine ring, “dining with wine” several gift certificate to local restaurants and lap top computer and more! Children’s Specialized Hospital Friends, formerly known as the Auxiliary and part of the community who founded the hospital over 123 years ago, consist of nearly 100 members who volunteer to support the children and Foundation at Children’s Specialized Hospital.  It is an annual membership whose affiliates provide service and fundraising for Children’s Specialized Hospital. This year the major fundraising event will be a casino night. This will be a night to have fun, dress up, and play some good card games with friends.
 
All proceeds will directly support the patients and Foundation at Children’s Specialized Hospital. Children’s Specialized Hospital is the largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the country and treats more than 22,000 kids a year affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses at twelve sites throughout New Jersey. Services include outpatient therapies, physician specialty services, acute rehabilitation, medical day care and long-term care. For more information, visit www.childrens-specialized.org.
