Cathleen Cahill Awarded the Healthcare Foundation of NJ’s Annual Humanism Award

Cathleen Cahill, advance practice nurse at Children’s Specialized Hospital, was awarded the 2017 Lester Z. Lieberman Humanism in Healthcare Award by the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey on Monday, July 17th, 2017 at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Cathy. She is compassionate in every interaction with our patients and families and we are so lucky to have her as part of the Children’s Specialized Hospital family,” said Bonnie Altieri, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer, Children’s Specialized Hospital.

The Lester Z. Lieberman Humanism in Healthcare award recognizes hospital and long-term care facility employees, nursing students and faculty, and professionals who treat patients and their families with exceptional compassion and kindness and infuse these exemplary practices into healthcare. 

Cahill joined Children’s Specialized Hospital in 2015. She is located at the hospital’s Newark, NJ facility and specializes in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.  Cahill received her Master of Science Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and a Bachelor of Science Nursing at Villanova University, Villanova, PA.
