Travel and Transportation Depot

Driving to a visit a family member, taking the school bus to school, going on a family vacation, taking a train to see a show, or riding a bicycle through town all involve some form of transportation. Transportation is a necessity and travel can be fun, but it can be difficult for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. People with ASD may have sensory challenges related to movement, loud noises, closed spaces, crowds, and delays which are common with travel. Use the tools and resources in the Travel and Transportation Depot help to address common issues related to travel and transportation. With education, support, and practice, travel can become more enjoyable.
