It is important for each of us to take measures to be safe and prevent injuries. But people with autism spectrum disorder and those who care them often need to take additional preventive measures to ensure safety – in the home, while traveling, in the community, and during recreation and leisure activities. People with ASD may be act impulsively, run away or wander, or be involved in unsafe behaviors.
