The Infant and Toddler Program is geared toward children from birth to age 3 and children who graduate from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Before each patient’s admission, a Children’s Specialized Hospital nurse liaison performs a complete assessment. For special, complex cases, a physician-to-physician preadmission conference will be arranged. Extensive assistance is available to families in exploring financial resources and explaining financial responsibilities.

 

Within 24 hours of admission each child's level of functioning is evaluated by the nursing, medical, and therapeutic teams. Together with the family, a plan of care is established.
