Zumbathon at Oxygen Fitness and Sports Club Raises $1,695 For Children’s Specialized Hospital
October 26, 2012 - Children's Specialized Hospital

Zumbathon at Oxygen Fitness and Sports Club in Bayville raises $1,695 for Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. Two hundred supporters packed the fitness center and danced, biked or stepped their way to raising money for the largest pediatric rehabilitation system in the country with two sites in Toms River. Children’s Specialized Hospital treats children affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses.
“Children’s Specialized Hospital is very fortunate to have such passionate community members that go above and beyond to raise funds for kids with special needs,” said Beth Anne Dobosh, director community engagement, Children’s Specialized Hospital and Foundation. “Every community fundraiser helps us serve even more children in New Jersey and beyond.”
Special thanks Vinny and Tracy Ciconne, owners of Oxygen Fitness and Thomas Batista, manager of education, group fitness and personal training department at Oxygen Fitness. It was his inspiration to gather the troupes to support Children’s Specialized. Over 25 trainers stayed for the day’s events and lead participants in a variety of classes. Oxygen Fitness also provided free blood pressure screenings and Muscle Maker Grill donated 30 percent of their sales for the day. The group also sold raffle tickets for a chance to win a beautiful beach bike provided in party by Beachwood Bikes of Beachwood.
