Walk N’ Roll May 19, 2012 to benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital
February 01, 2012 - Children's Specialized Hospital

Children’s Specialized Hospital is proud to host the sixth annual 2012 Walk ‘n Roll, presented by Kohl’s Department Stores, scheduled for May 19 in Johnson Park in Piscataway.
Funding raised will support the nation’s largest and best pediatric rehabilitation hospital. With nine sites in New Jersey, Children’s Specialized Hospital treats nearly 19,000 children with special needs each year. This year’s honorary chairperson is Coach C. Vivian Stringer, head coach of the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
Children’s Specialized Hospital invites family, friends and partners of the hospital to come together to walk or roll a 1, 2.5 or 5 mile course while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Johnson Park and the Raritan River. Immediately following the walk supporters will enjoy the free Kohl's KidsAbilities Carnival where everyone can enjoy live music, games and prizes, food, and learn about special needs all for free.
Last year’s Walk ‘n Roll drew in over 1,500 community members that were able to raise over $125,000. This year Children’s Specialized Hospital is expecting over 2,000 and hoping to raise $150,000 to support outpatient center expansion.
