Harlem Globetrotter Visits Patients at PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital

Hawk Thomas visited the patients at PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick on Monday, February 10. Hawk entertained patients, families and staff by teaching fun basketball tricks and telling funny jokes. His presence in the hospital was a large success thanks to the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation and the Prudential Center. The visit was greatly appreciated.

Hawk was more than happy to come and visit the hospital. When Hawk is in town for a game and hears about an opportunity like this he says he enjoys doing something with the kids to see them smile. Lauren Cavalcanti, age 4, one of the patients Hawk entertained expressed her excitement while smiling bright from ear to ear.
 
“This little girl made my day because even with her injuries she still was able to have such a huge smile and spirit! So honored I had the opportunity to brighten her day,” said Hawk Thomas, a Harlem Globetrotter . “She is in great hands at the Children’s Specialized Hospital.”

The Harlem Globetrotters are playing at the Prudential Center on Saturday, February 16and at the IZOD Center on Sunday, February 17.
