Children’s Specialized Hospital Named Hospital of the Year Finalist in New Jersey’s Healthcare Heroes
May 10, 2012 - Children's Specialized Hospital

Children’s Specialized Hospital has been nominated as a finalist in the “Hospital of the Year” category in the 2012 NJBIZ Healthcare Heroes awards program. Children’s Specialized Hospital was nominated by the Robert Wood Johnson Health System and is one of six hospitals chosen as a finalist.

“Children's Specialized Hospital is so honored to be selected by NJBIZ as one of the finalists for this award. It means even more that the nomination came from our colleagues at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital,” said Amy B. Mansue, president and CEO of Children’s Specialized Hospital.  “Our affiliation with the Robert Wood Johnson Health System began in 1999 and continues to strengthen our critical role for children with specialized healthcare needs.”

In 2007 this partnership led to the creation of the first true pediatric medical campus in New Jersey. The new PSE&G Children's Specialized Hospital joined the Bristol Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the Child Health Institute of New Jersey, and pediatric acute care, rehabilitation, and research were combined on one campus for the first time in New Jersey.

The award program, produced by NJBIZ, New Jersey’s premiere business news publication, is sponsored by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Hackensack University Medical Center, McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP, the New Jersey Hospital Association and WithumSmith+Brown, PC.
