Child Passenger Safety Car Seat Check & Provider's Fair for Families Caring for Children with Special Needs - October 6

Nationally, 80 percent of car seats are installed incorrectly, according to Safe Kids USA. Ensure your child’s car seat is installed and being used properly. Join certified professionals and Toms River law enforcement officers at Children’s Specialized Hospital outpatient center at 94 Stevens Road in Toms River on Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to have your child’s car seat or booster inspected for FREE.   Officers from Toms River will also present a brief informational session regarding new child safety seat rules at 10 a.m.
 
Children’s Specialized Hospital and local health and service providers will be present to provide information about their services for families of children with special needs including:

- Brain Injury Association of NJ
- Chariot Riders
- Family Resource Network
- Loving Care Nursing Agency
- MOCEANS Center for Independent Living
- Safe Kids
- SPAN (Statewide Parents Advocacy Network)
