BASF raises $220,000 for Children’s Specialized Hospital at its second annual golf tournament
Funds support children with specialized healthcare needs
June 25, 2013 - Children's Specialized Hospital

Nearly 100 community and business leaders teed off at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ on June 3 to raise funds for Children’s Specialized Hospital. This is the second year that BASF sponsored a golf outing to benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital with a combined fundraising total of more than $400,000 since 2012.

The hospital serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays and life-changing illnesses. It is the preeminent provider of pediatric rehabilitation services and the largest pediatric rehabilitation health system in the United States, serving nearly 20,000 children per year.
"BASF is proud to extend its longstanding relationship with Children's Specialized Hospital, which has grown to include sponsorship of this annual golf tournament and fundraising event,” said Ken Lane, President, BASF Catalysts Division. “Thanks to the generosity of our customers, suppliers and friends, we saw a significant increase in the amount of money raised this year, which will help fund the hospital's expansion plans and allow the Children’s Specialized team to help even more children and families in the future."

“The children who receive care from Children's Specialized Hospital are so fortunate to have such dedicated corporate partners like BASF," said Amy B. Mansue, President and CEO, Children’s Specialized Hospital. “We are thankful to the entire BASF family for their commitment to supporting their local community. We are thrilled to have the support of Ken Lane and former Children’s Specialized Foundation trustee, Frank Bozich. We thank them for all that they have done and look forward to continuing to work together so that children with specialized health care needs can reach their maximum potential."
