During An Inpatient Stay
During An Inpatient Stay
Our inpatient rehabilitation programs are comprehensive, clinically excellent, and offer a highly specialized plan of care for every child. You will be teamed up with a Patient Care Coordinator who will help you during your stay. Here, we aim to provide you with the best tools to help your child and family prepare.
What to Bring
Here is a list of suggestions on what your child should bring:
Appropriate footwear:sneakers or flat-soled shoes that completely enclose the foot and have rubber/non-skid bottoms (no flip-flops, crocs, sandals, slides/clogs, high heels)
Comfortable, loose-fitting athletic-type clothing:(at least several days worth, especially if no one will be here to do laundry) Clothing that is easy to put on and take off. If the child is in a halo, please provide clothing that fits over the halo, or opens in the front, to avoid having clothing cut to fit over the halo.
Please mark your child's clothes and belongings with their name on them.
Pajamas
Socks /underwear
Bathing suit / cover-up
Coat or jacket, sweater or sweatshirt (as seasonally appropriate)
Basic toiletries: deodorant, body wash,
toothbrush and toothpaste
Items that will help your child to feel more at home:
a special pillow or blanket, doll, book or special item
some family photos or photos of friends
headphones for listening to personal electronic devices
A copy of your child’s immunization records
A copy of your child's IEP if he/she has one at school
A Typical Schedule
Each child usually receives about 6 - 8 hours of rehabilitation and therapy a day, plus meals, extracurricular activities, and time to rest.

Patient and Family Satisfaction
Your feedback is very important to us. During your rehabilitation visit, we hope to provide excellent care and customer service. We partner with Press Ganey, a survey company, to measure satisfaction. You may receive this survey in the mail. We hope you will discuss any concerns with any member of our team, and return the survey when you receive it. We’re aiming for scores of a “high five” on the survey - so let us know how we can best meet your family’s needs!
