ClubSib is a recreational group offering support to the brother or sister of a child with special needs, like autism, brain injury and other physical disabilities.

The sibling will get to know other kids who have a brother or sister with special needs while engaging in activities planned for them.

Activities range from having fun, meeting new people, learning more about oneself, learning about others, being silly, and even just venting!

Siblings ages 6 - 12 are invited to join the August session.

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAMS:

Aquatics I - Especially for children with moderate to severe neurological, physical, or social challenges.
Beginner swim program focusing on:
introducing swimming readiness
developing personal comfort level in the water
coordinating basic movements
Skills will be addressed through sensory stimulation, recreation and social skills activities.

Aquatics II - Especially for children with mild neurological, physical, or social challenges.
introducing basic swimming skills
emphasizing coordination of movement
following directions
building social skills
Skills will be addressed through swimming drills and social skills activities.

All classes will be held at Children's Specialized Hospital, 150 New Providence Road, Mountainside, NJ 07092

Registration Fee: $95.00 Minimum: 2 Maximum: 5

Registration:
To register your child for a Fall 2010 Adaptive Aquatics Program, please call our registration line at 908-301-5432 no earlier than August 16th at 9:00 AM.

Registrations will NOT be taken before this date and time. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Please do not send checks until registration is confirmed. Note: Physician signature is required on health form prior to calss start date.

Please include the following information on the voice mail:
Parent/guardian name
Child's name, age and diagnosis
Address and telephone number
Program desired (be specific with day and time for all classes)

Please do not register your child for more than one aquatics class offered by CSH in one season.

Hurry! Classes fill up quickly!
